With the launch of New Super Mario Bros. 2 just around the corner, Nintendo is pushing everything related to Mario as much as possible. That is why, beginning today, 3DS owners can enjoy a new promotion called “The Month of Mario”; all of the major Mario-related titles found on the eShop/Virtual Console will see a price drop over the next month.
Today (July 26), Super Mario Bros. (NES) goes on sale for $3.99. The sale ends August 2, when Super Mario Land (Game Boy) goes up for $2.99.
Moving on, the sequel – Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins – will be on sale for $2.99, starting August 9. Finally, the Game Boy puzzle game, Mario’s Picross, will be available for $2.99.
All of the prices are cut by a dollar, in case you were wondering – not a bad deal, but I’ve already got copies of Super Mario Bros. and 6 Golden Coins, so I think I’m set for now.
What do you think? Will you be picking up any of the classic Mario titles in anticipation for New Super Mario Bros. 2?
